The Drone Trainer Podcast 022 – Tom Cochrane
This is episode 22 of The Drone Trainer Podcast! This week we’re going to hear from Tom Cochrane… yeah, it’s either going to be the Canadian icon that sings Life is a Highway and Big League, or the other one from Newfoundland Canada! You’re going to have to listen in to see which one it’s going to be! Anyway, if you like this show be a friend and subscribe so that you don’t miss this or any of the future podcast episodes!
Tom Cochrane is based in Newfoundland, Canada, and is creating some amazing photos with his drone. Tom’s background was in ground based photography and videography, but once he picked up his first drone he was hooked.
Tom started off with the Phantom 4, but since switching to the Mavic Pro, he’s been able to take the drone everywhere. As Tom says, if you like to explore new areas, and want a drone that you can take with you almost everywhere, the Mavic Pro is the drone for you!
What first caught my eye was Tom’s Instagram account, where he shows off the unique Newfoundland landscape. He’s capturing wicked photos of everything from the small communities along the coastline, to interior shots from The Rock. Tom is also in a unique position in that he’s working with tourism organizations and is constantly able to travel to new places, all while getting paid to capture imagery with his drone! How’s that for an envious career?
In this episode, Tom takes us through a Lightroom photo editing scenario that we can all learn from! Have a listen RIGHT NOW as this is the goods! 🙂
