The Drone Trainer Podcast 012 – Shawn Hileman

Welcome to the 12th episode of The Drone Trainer Podcast! 3 months already? This podcast has grown by leaps and bounds, and I have to thank each and every one of you for all the support and for driving me to keep on delivering on a weekly basis! Today I have Shawn Hileman, a drone operator originally from Pensylvania, who now lives and operates his drone business down in Florida. Oh yeah, want to subscribe so that you don’t miss an episode!

Shawn Hileman - Drone OperatorShawn first caught my eye with his wicked drone selfies on Instagram, and once I started looking into his profile a little more I realized that he was starting up a full blown drone operation! Shawn is still fairly new, but he’s definitely jumping in with both feet!

As you can see from the picture on the right, Shawn and his bare feet have a great eye for photography, with his leading lines and bokeh!

In this episode we cover what Shawn is doing to market his business, and how he transitioned from the GoPro Karma to the DJI Mavic Pro as his main workhorse. Want a sneak peek into the coolest thing that Shawn mentioned on the show? Well, it’s that he is also an Uber driver on the side when he needs a break from the editing process, and has managed to get some jobs simply by talking to his Uber customers! Hows that for a unique way to get yourself in front of prospective clients!

Check our Shawn’s work and follow him on social media!
